Garmin G5 is Rugged

I had a pleasant surprise about how durable the Garmin G5 is. This is definitely one tough and rugged device. I am not encouraging you to drop your Garmin G5 to put it to the test but I have dropped mine in the golf course for a couple of times already. I had expected that it would not turn on anymore since this is a highly sensitive device but I was amazed that it still functions properly.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the accuracy of the distance readings; discrepancies to the actual distance is very minimal. In my experience, during a clear sunny day, the readings are more accurate compared to a cloudy day. This may be due to the effect of the weather on the satellite feeds to the device.

For the price of this device, I would say that this is all worth it especially if you regularly play golf.
